Trump took Xi Jinping on a tour of the West Wing of the White House and, seeing a photo of himself and Xi on the wall, quipped:

“Who is that? I don’t recognize him!” 🤣

“That’s who? I don’t know him!”

Xi Jinping was standing right there.

The funniest part is, Trump wasn’t saying he didn’t recognize the person in the photo.

He was poking fun at his “past self.”

Presidents come and go, eras change, and even today’s self might get ribbed by tomorrow’s self.

That’s what makes American politics so fascinating:

Power belongs to the term, not to any one person.

Now look at China—once a political figure gets up on the wall, they’d rather stay there forever. Mao Zedong’s portrait remains one of China’s most prominent political symbols to this day.

One side says: “Who is that? I don’t recognize him.”

The other says: “This person must stay on the wall forever.”
