Every morning at 9am people honor the fallen heroes of Ukraine.
People pause their lives to pay respect. In cafés, people stop their work calls and conversations. On the streets, pedestrians stop walking and cars pull over. In shops and offices, people put aside whatever they are doing and stand in silence. In some places - even the kitchen staff step outside and kneel.
For a brief moment, a country at war becomes still - remembering those who gave their lives so that everyone else could continue theirs.
