@CAGovernor Gavin Newsom launched dedicated @CHP_HQ teams to work directly with local law enforcement in major regions across the state to better combat crime and help keep Californians safer!

The results ⬇️

✔️San Francisco’s multiagency partnership seized nearly 700 pounds of fentanyl in its first year, issued more than 6,200 citations for illegal activity, made more than 500 arrests, and recovered more than 115 stolen vehicles.

✔️Oakland public-safety operations recovered 4,257 stolen vehicles, made 1,528 DUI arrests, made 1,150 felony and misdemeanor arrests, and seized 247 illegal firearms.

✔️Bakersfield reported a 60% decline in shootings in 2024, reported a 57% decline in homicides in 2024 and Bakersfield’s partnership with CHP has made 2,654 DUI arrests, made 1,580 felony and misdemeanor arrests, and recovered 1,386 stolen vehicles.

✔️San Bernardino public-safety operations with CHP made 1,974 felony and misdemeanor arrests, made 170 DUI arrests, recovered 145 stolen vehicles, and seized 82 illegal firearms.
