The lion laughed at the idea but decided to let the mouse go.
A few days later the lion was caught in a hunter’s net. He roared and struggled, but he could not free himself.
The little mouse heard the lion and ran to him. He gnawed the ropes with his sharp teeth until the lion was free.
The lion said: “Thank you, little friend. I never thought someone so small could save my life.”
Moral: Kindness is never wasted.
Even the smallest act of kindness can one day come back to you.
