China Suspected of Interfering with Access to Nepal's Missing and Deceased Persons Database Within Its Borders
On September 1, @GreatFireChina data showed that the Nepal Police website's missing persons and unidentified bodies database has recently experienced significant access interference in mainland China, with 9 out of the last 11 valid tests abnormal, accounting for 82%.
Notably, the recent abnormal timings highly coincide with the August 26 mudslide on the Nepal-Tibet border. After this disaster occurred, the database has continuously released information on missing persons and unidentified bodies.
GreatFire first tested the website on August 30 and continuously recorded access interference from August 31 to September 1.
