After the People's Daily joined Threads, the comment section quickly flooded with messages like "Xi Jinping is a pig," 8964, Wang Wang posters, and the like. The People's Daily must've been spooked by the comments and ended up setting the account to private.
In contrast, the People's Daily account on Twitter is still hanging in there to this day. Gotta say, whether from a justice standpoint or a unity angle, the guys in the anti-regime crowd just can't match the women when it comes to attack power.
