The government brags about its school nutrition program lifting rural kids, but the photos expose the truth:

Two Chinas, one for the cities, one for the countryside. Urban students eat like the future middle class. Rural students eat like second-class citizens — same “great rejuvenation,” completely different reality.

This disparity isn’t accidental. It’s the system working as designed: pour resources into cities, throw crumbs + propaganda at the rural areas.

Rural children are being conditioned from a young age that they are not equal and the mentality continues to adulthood

How many more generations stay there while the cities feast?

Gaokao seems fair from the outside, but the real issue is that the same education resources are unequally distributed and it is just a race between middle class to serve as the elite’s workers.
