University Bans cooking and Gaming, thus during Graduation season., students "Repay" Campus with Mountains of Trash
Recently, at Hunan First Normal University, as a large wave of graduates left campus, vacant lots under dorm buildings, green belts, and even stairwells were piled high with massive amounts of household waste and discarded items. In some spots, the trash was even "stacked up to the 4th floor," severely blocking public pathways.
In stark contrast, the university's daily dorm management for students is notoriously strict. According to exposed school documents and inspection reports, the administration not only tightly restricts student behavior in dorms, explicitly banning "gaming and other activities unrelated to study" during designated hours, but even in routine spot checks, students caught "sleeping, using phones, eating, showering, or making drinks " in their rooms get labeled as having a "poor dorm" and face public criticism bulletins—sparking intense backlash from students.
Who is to blame? The university or the students?
