This former CCP police officer slipped away while traveling with a tour group to Germany—walking at the very end of the group and quietly disappearing when no one was paying attention.
🚨 Here’s a real story I heard many years ago in Melbourne:
A Chinese person who had lived in Melbourne for several years and understood the immigration process gave advice to another Chinese traveler who was about to join a tour group to Melbourne:
Before entering the country, when filling out the arrival card, there is a question asking whether you are carrying any wood. Most people would answer “no,” but you should check “yes.”
That way, when you line up for immigration, your declaration of a special item means you must go through a separate inspection channel.
At that point, you can legitimately ask the tour leader to return your passport, which is usually held collectively. Since it’s required by Australian officials, the tour leader won’t dare refuse.
Then, when you go through the inspection channel, you show the customs officer a wooden comb that you had already prepared in your bag. Once they see it’s just a simple wooden comb, they will let you pass.
After you get through, I’ll be waiting for you at the exit…
This person actually followed the plan and successfully slipped away.
