The United States has begun blocking the Strait of Hormuz. The first incident has already occurred: the first oil tanker, bound for China, was intercepted by the U.S. before reaching Iran’s checkpoint at the entrance of the Strait of Hormuz and was ordered to turn back.
The tanker, named RICH STARRY, is sailing under the Malawian flag and is carrying crude oil from the United Arab Emirates, originally destined for China.
