After recent strikes, the terminal in Novorossiysk has limited oil loading. Russia’s three largest western export ports — Novorossiysk (Black Sea), Primorsk, and Ust-Luga (Baltic Sea) — have also been affected.
In addition, European efforts to stop “shadow fleet” tankers have disrupted Arctic oil exports from Murmansk by about 300,000 barrels per day.
Moscow is now forced to rely more on exports to Asian markets, but these routes are limited in capacity, traders say.
