In 1936, American leftist journalist Edgar Snow went to the CCP base in Yan’an and later published Red Star Over China, which convinced generations of American political leaders including presidents and the public that Chinese communists were not the real communists—and were worth America’s support.
It’s not an exaggeration to say that Snow single-handily helped the CCP to take over China!
