The Belgian Prime Minister has blocked the EU plan regarding Russian assets, — Politico
Bart De Wever strongly opposed the proposal to transfer €140 billion of frozen Russian funds to Ukraine, fearing that Belgium could be forced to return them if Moscow were to file a lawsuit.
According to the publication, De Wever stated that such a mechanism could jeopardize future peace negotiations and instead proposed an alternative: issuing €45 billion of joint EU debt without touching Russian reserves.
The big problem for Europeans is - FEAR.
They're afraid of everything, even of a lawsuit from that lousy country Russia that doesn't abide by any laws or treaties.
Europeans are even afraid of their own shadow.
