Despite a US official suggesting a deal has been done with Ukraine, the ‘agreement’ is on the broad framework, sources say

Essentially this is the revised / stripped down 19 point plan from Geneva which left many of the key points outstanding

Still to be resolved between US and Ukraine are territory and security guarantees, at president level. (Which are the most important points)

Also still need to separately resolve NATO and other issues related to Europe, which were cut out of the original 28 point plan

So lots still to be resolved

Nonetheless shows Ukraine is determined to show willingness to sign a peace deal while Russia refuses to engage with anything other than its maximalist demands
