Tesla is using less water than originally planned at 🇩🇪 Giga Berlin, and has therefore returned water rights of 377,000 cubic meters per year to the Strausberg-Erkner Water Association (WSE).

Tesla consumed 456,953 cubic metres of water last year. Water consumption, including sanitary water, was 2.16 cubic metres per vehicle produced, which is significantly below the industry average of 3.50 cubic metres per vehicle.

To my knowledge, there is no other car manufacturer in Germany, and probably in Europe, that uses as little water per vehicle produced as Tesla.
