🚨ALERT: The NCAA is NOT COMPLYING with Trump's EO barring male athletes from competing in female sports.
The new NCAA policy states it will decide who can compete in female sports events based on what's "marked on their birth records." The problem is that 44 states currently allow people to amend their birth certificates to reflect their "gender identity" instead of their sex.
State governors like Bob Ferguson (WA) are even assisting men sidestep Trump's EO by expediting their requests to modify their birth certificates.
While Trump should force states to maintain original birth certificates for federal purposes, this would also not be totally sufficient because 66 countries also allow their citizens to amend their birth certificates. Moreover, male athletes with a DSD may occasionally have their sex recorded incorrectly on their birth certificates, such as Caster Semenya, Imane Khelif, and Lin Yu-Ting who all won Olympic gold medals in the women's category despite being male.
The only way to protect female sports from male athletes is to require an active screening process, such as a cheek swab (Barr body) test. Nothing else will be sufficient.
President Trump must completely reject the NCAA's new policy and tell them to TRY AGAIN.
