Measuring 92 cm in length and weighing 74.8 kg, the Codex Gigas is composed of 310 sheets of parchment claimed to be made from the hides of 160 donkeys or calves.
The manuscript includes illuminations in red, blue, yellow, green, and gold.
The book appears to be simultaneously a Bible, a grimoire, a historical text, and a guide to healing.
