A 🇨🇳 student who was studying in the US boasted on 🇨🇳 social media Xiaohongshu (account: 猎户执剑人) the other day how he was going to flee back to China without paying any of his credit card bills — for multiple cards from Chase, Citi, Amex, etc — after he deliberately ran up a total credit card debt of around US$140K (that’s a million yuan)!
He claimed that he always remembers that he’s a Chinese and his mission is to revive China; so he’s going back home to help build his motherland. He also warned that his feat served as a hard punch in the face of American imperialism and a lesson for American capitalists…
That post went viral very soon and even 🇨🇳 media had covered the story… the 🇨🇳 student wrote another defiant post (lower right pic) afterwards.
However, by now his posts have been removed and his Xiaohongshu account has been closed (or hidden)…
