—Anthem Inc (2015)
Chinese hackers accessed the data of about 80 million customers and employees of the second-largest health insurer in the U.S. including names, birthdates, social security numbers, and employment details.

—Equifax Breach (2017)
Chinese hackers stole the personal information of approximately 147 million people in this massive breach. In 2020, the Trump Administration’s Department of Justice charged four members of the Chinese military with the hack, stating it was part of a larger operation to collect Americans' personal data.

—Marriott International (2018)
Chinese hackers accessed the records of up to 383 million guests in Marriott Int’l’s Starwood reservation system including passport numbers, travel information, and other personal data.

—Microsoft Exchange Server Hacks (2021)
A state-sponsored Chinese hacking group known as "Hafnium" attacked Microsoft Exchange email servers, affecting tens of thousands of organizations globally, including government agencies and businesses in the U.S.

Chinese hackers reportedly targeted the U.S. Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, Rhode Island, in this sophisticated cyber-espionage campaign, stealing sensitive data on submarine warfare and other military technologies.
