We recognize the strength of Nurungul Tohti and Gulshan Abbas, whose families have been torn apart by China's systemic oppression of Uyghur communities.

We stand with Pu Wenqing, Shao Wenxia, Keke the mother of Niu Tengyu, He Fangmei, and Yin Min, mothers who have faced surveillance, detention, and intimidation simply for protecting their children and speaking out.

Today, we honor these women, and all mothers who refuse to back down in the face of injustice. Their courage inspires the world.
