They said there was no brain activity and life support would be removed.

But George didn’t believe them.
In desperation, he pulled out a gun and demanded they keep trying.

The hospital went into lockdown.
Police negotiators surrounded the room while George faced off with them for 3 hours.

During that standoff, something incredible happened, his son squeezed his hand—clear proof he was still alive.

George surrendered peacefully after that moment. He was later sentenced to 11 months in prison. Remarkably, his son experienced a complete recovery.
