After El Salvador’s parliament sacked the attorney general and 5 top judges, members of the international community freaked out.
Bukele, who had previously told them “With all due respect, we're clearing our house and this isn't your responsibility,” further explained:
“FUN FACT: “Checks and balances” don’t truly exist unless the judicial branch can also be checked and balanced.”
