CNN admits the man they 'stumbled upon' and reported as a prisoner of the Assad regime was in fact intelligence officer Salama Mohammad Salama as Syrian fact-checking service Verify-Sy reported on the weekend.
The admission doesn't state how and why CNN fell for his false claims, terrible acting and seemed to ignore the glaring red flags raised by Salama's healthy physical appearance.
