Microsoft has been training China's top AI developers for years at Microsoft Research Asia, its Beijing laboratory.

Microsoft alumni have gone on to found or play a key part in AI vompanies that are now sanctioned by the US government for collaborating with China's military and building its police state apparatus.

Moving a few AI developers out of China won't do a thing. The US government's only option is to compel Microsoft to shut down its laboratory through the next round of AI sanctions.
