He was a photographer and left the home earlier that day to photograph what was happening. He ran back when he realized terrorists were going home to home.
Abigail ran towards a neighbor’s house, who described seeing her covered in her father’s blood. He took her in and put her into their family’s safe room with his wife and children as he went out to protect the community from the terrorists. When he returned home, everyone in his safe room was missing — and later discovered as kidnapped and taken to Gaza.
