In October 2020, US Energy Secretary Dan Brouillette told Dr. Fauci that DOE scientists had evidence suggesting #COVID19 originated at the WIV, per important new @VanityFair piece by @KatherineEban.

It is clear that:

1. The COVID-19 pandemic most likely stems from a research-related incident in Wuhan;
   
   
2. COVID-19 is a political pandemic -- but for the unique pathologies of the Chinese state there would likely have been no pandemic at all;
   
   
3. China's government has prevented any meaningful investigation into pandemic origins and is engaging in one of the greatest coverups in history;
   
   
4. The US, Canadian, French, and other governments have more information that can shed light on the pandemic origins issue and must be more forthcoming. It is likely that blind international collaborations with China increased risk levels prior to the pandemic;
   
   
5. We must do everything possible to hold the Chinese government and any other relevant parties responsible for the terrible and avoidable crisis;
   
   
6. 27 million people are dead as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. If we don't get to the bottom of what went wrong and address our world's greatest vulnerabilities, the next pandemic could be far worse.
