Russia is steadily experiencing price increases for a variety of goods and services, Russian media report.

▪️Food
Producers of street fast food warn of a possible increase in the average price of shawarma up to 300 rubles ($2.36) and a 10-15% rise in the price of pizza and burgers due to an increase in selling prices of products such as meat, vegetables, fruit and eggs.

▪️Gadgets
iPhone prices rose an average of 32% in the first half of the year, and another 20% increase is expected by the end of the year. Prices of Samsung, Xiaomi and Readme products are also rising significantly.

▪️Tourism
Tour operators warn of a possible 10-30% price increase for winter vacations to popular destinations such as Egypt, UAE, Thailand, Maldives and Cuba. The cost of tours in Russia may also increase by 15% or more.

▪️Gas
Since the beginning of the year, the prices of gas of various grades have increased by 60-70% and diesel fuel has gone up by 40%. This has caused discontent, as since 2018 there was an "inflation rule" that limited oil companies from raising prices above the official inflation rate, but this year the rule has been broken.

▪️Vehicles
Car prices continue to rise. In August, prices increased by 50-80 thousand rubles, and in some cases, they reached 120-600 thousand rubles and higher. Further growth of car prices in all market segments is expected in the fall.

▪️Real estate
The cost per square meter in the secondary market increased by 1.5-1.8% in August, reaching the maximum since March 2022. The highest rates of price growth were observed in cities such as Chelyabinsk, Togliatti, Kazan and Makhachkala. Rental prices are also expected to rise in the fall.
