8月26日，西藏吉隆口岸泥石流现场视频显示，山谷内泥水裹挟大量碎石快速下泄。视频前段尚能清楚看到谷底建筑、道路及遍地乱石，约30秒后，上游突然涌来更猛烈的褐色洪流，巨大的泥浪迅速翻过在建的水坝，涌入谷底，扬起大量水雾和尘土。

万万没想到，互联网自我审查已经卷到骆驼了 8月19日，一名养骆驼的博主发视频称，自己饲养的一头骆驼“包包驼”因脸部外形特殊，被短视频平台判定“涉及低俗内容”。

尼泊尔特里舒利巴扎附近被报告发生山洪，画面显示湍急洪水冲击河道和桥梁，随后河道堆满泥石，水势极为猛烈。

8月26日上午，西藏日喀则吉隆口岸因尼泊尔一侧发生泥石流，造成重大人员伤亡、失联。有亲历者称，当天上午10时许，从吉隆镇驾车前往口岸，在距离口岸约4公里处发现前方树木、电线杆已被冲倒，“大水卷来撵着我们”，车辆不敢掉头，只能一路倒车逃生，连续倒退约3公里后才脱离急流区域。
