Leaked: Liberal MP Paul Chiang’s secret email exchange with a constituent who questioned his affiliation with China over a controversial WeChat post. The post, which showed Chiang meeting with the Chinese Consul General, was taken down after the complaint. The post also stated that the diplomat introduced the “spirit of the Communist Party’s general meeting in Beijing” to Chiang and other attendees. Chiang’s staff later tried to invite this constituent to his office in attempt to smooth things over.
