It’s both heartbreaking and inspiring to see Narges Mohammadi, a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, step out of prison after years of injustice, holding the picture of another woman, a powerful symbol of the Woman, Life, Freedom revolution.

Narges must not return to prison. The world must take action now to end this cruel gender apartheid in Iran and Afghanistan. Her bravery is a rallying cry, she, and every woman like her, deserves true freedom.

We will never be free until Iran is free from the Islamic regime and embraces a secular democracy.
